More Tips For Guitar Beginners

1. Listen To Songs Even When Not
Get the tunes in your head and pay special attention to songs that are heavy on guitars. This way, you will be more familiar with the sound and melody of the song when you actually start playing.

2. Make The Guitar An Extension Of Your Body
Play as often as you can. Even when you are watching TV, have it on you and practice the chords even if you are just half-doing it. The idea is to make the guitar an extension of your body. You have to know it like the back of your hand. Get it every opportunity you got.

3. Learn the different forms of chords
A single chord may be played in so many ways. You have to be familiar with the different forms because each style is used to achieve a different kind of sound. It will be confusing at first but you have to get used to it. One clear example is the power chord. This is mostly used by rock bands because it produces a heavy sound.

4. Exercise Your Hands
When you are beginning, try to do exercise before each session. This will make you hands more flexible and improve the reach of each fingers. The most common exercise is pressing each string at each fret for each finger and plucking the corresponding string. Start from the top string going down. Progress until you reach the lowest possible fret then back up again.

5. Enjoy It
As much as it is hard work, you have to enjoy it otherwise, you will never be good at it. That is the most important tip. Enjoy the guitar, enjoy the sound, enjoy the mistakes, and enjoy the music.
